The Fulbright Program supports graduate study, research, or teaching English abroad.
Alyssa Gagen, a biological chemistry major, will be teaching English in Spain.
“I am passionate about multilingualism, eager to share my own perspectives and ideas in a new place, and excited to immerse myself in the simple pleasures of the Spanish lifestyle,” Gagen says. “I plan to be a doctor in the future, and in this role I want to value patience and intentionality. Premed students are taught how to balance difficult coursework, research, and extracurriculars. However, I also want to bring value to calmness, mindfulness, and personal connection in the medical field.”
