Clean water is one of the most urgent challenges of our time, with toxic oxyanions like permanganate and dichromate threatening both ecosystems and human health. This work advances the development of a class of layered, electrically conductive metal–organic frameworks (cMOFs) as both filters and sensors of these pollutants from water.
