Dartmouth Professor Glenn Micalizio's team has discovered a new chemical reaction for the stereoselective synthesis of complex angularly substituted decalins (fused carbocyclic structures found in a variety of natural products and therapeutically relevant agents) from the union of alkynes with enynes.
